Hello,

Can someone tell me how to install Google Tag Manager in a child portal?

Is a script to be puted right after the <body> tag and before the <form> tag.

If i put in Default.aspx file it applied to all portals.

I'm using DNN 5.6.

Thank you
Best regards

you can do it a number of ways - if your child site(s) use different skins add it in the skin. Alternatively use a module such as https://wnsinj.codeplex.com/ to add content.

Hello Cathal,

 If i put in the skin file, the code don't work because it will be placed inside the <form>.

 This isn't Google Analytics that works if you put in different places, the Google Tag Manager must be after <body> and before <form>.

 The module you sugest i belive it don't place the GTM code where it should be and i'm runing DNN 5.6, so this module won't work.

 I changed the SiteAnalytics.config file and with that i placed the code in the right place, but now the postback don't work.

 Any more ideas? Is DNN incompatible with Google Tag Manager?!

you can add it in the codebehind code of the ascx version of the skin i.e. the ascx.cs page -see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18... for similar examples

Is there an easy way to add GTM to DNN6? After body open tag but before form tag? Multiple portals.

1. Adding to either head or inside form causes some things not to work
2. Can't use 2sic, requires DNN7 http://2sxc.org/en/Apps/Details/AppGu...
3. Can't upgrade to dnn7 - 1 module won't work.
4. Don't understand this ... I was able to solve it with: var tp = (CDefault)Page; tp.FindControl("Body").Controls.AddAt(0, new Literal() { Text = "" }); http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18...
