I have an instance of dnn 7.2.2 that won't login properly. The login doesn't fail, it just seems to ignore the fact that a login attempt was even made. I deliberately tried wrong credentials and got the expected login failure message. The correct login just keeps me on the page I clicked the login link from. How do I find out what's going on?

Darnell,

Check the logs to see if any errors were captured. I think the table is called dbo.EventLog.

The only recorded event for the login shows that the superuser logged in, the time, and the ip address. So, now that really seems weird. I have used all three browsers. On my work machine, I can log in using firefox, but I cannot on my lap top using anything. I thought it may be the skin, but changing to the gravity (default skin) didn't help.

Darnell,

Log in on your work machine using FF and change the setting "allow pop-ups" (it may not be called that exactly) and see if this helps. I recall a similar issue a while back and couldn't use pop-ups. Everything had to be done in the same window but it fixed the problem.

The site doesn't allow pop ups. I tried setting it to use popups, no go so I changed it back. Still no go.
