OBS: Using DNN 7.

I'm using a US server but my portal is for Brazilian users. How to set the -3 timezone?

I've tried Admin > Site Settings > Advanced Site Settings > Usability Settings > Site TimeZone

But it's not working properly. I've set -3 Brasilia and posted at 12:52 but the dnn shows 03:52am.

The time zone will control the base date/time used in the application, seen when a user is Anonymous (not logged in). Once a user is logged in, the time will be presented to them based on the time zone set in their user profile (It takes the portal time zone and adjusts based on the profile).

unfortunately not all modules do calculate timezones correctly, it is usually best advice to locate the webserver in Portal Default timezone.

Thank you guys!

I've set the Site TimeZone to -7 Mountain Time (US & Canada) which I guess is the server timezone. And as long as I've set the user profile to -3 Brasilia the problem was solved.

But I've checked the registered users profile and all of them were auto set to Brazil but their preferred timezone is set to -8 Pacific (US & Canada). Am I missing some configuration that set the right location on the user registration?

Portal timezone should be used as default TZ, when a new user registers, the user is able to adjust it according to his current location in his user profile.
There is no IP lookup for timezone (but should happen for country)
