It will take a couple of hours, until the search index is rebuilt.

Ok it ran overnight and when I log into my server and look at the app_data/search folder there are files there now but the search still doesnt yield results...  I wonder if I could have corrupted it somehow?  Or maybe Im not running the reindex appropriately?  I see references to the search results control in host and admin and module level... maybe thats it?  Im at a lose here the and client is frustrated.  Any other ideas?

appreciate your continued assistance on this - very considerate of you!

regards,

Kevin

Reran the indexing again last night - the app_data/search folder has records in it but I get no results!!! Starting to panic here as the client is really frustrated...  any other thoughts or ideas on this?  Would removing/reinstalling the module address this?

thanks again,

Kevin

Few things:

1) When you are executing search, are you logged-in? Does the user that's logged-in has rights to see the content?

2) Go into Host > Host Settings > Advanced Settings > Search Settings > Get More Information. Does it good number of documents?

3) You may need to enable trace in Log4Net setting, in which case all the details of Search query is dumped in the log file and you can check what's going on?

4) Any errors being generated in the log when you execute search?

5) Are you able to search by a username?
