I ckecked The process, everything to be OK, after FTP the root directory is bigger put in the dash board the DNN ID remains 7.0.6

Is it because it is based on the start by  an automatic installation from Plexdesk ?

If I copy directly anew  dnn 7.4.0 from my local ISS  i happen to managed the configurationstring in the web.config key but not the macine validation key set ap as 

 <machine validationKey="AutoGenerate,IsolateApps" decryptionKey="AutoGenerate,IsolateApps" decryption="3DES" validation="SHA1" />

I restarted from scratch

Download DNN 7.0.9 through plesk.

Reimported all my Pages(Cleaned) ans modules to the new site

Then I send DNN 7.4.0 upgrade with filezilla to have the two parralel views: The upgrade and the remote root. 

However I wont't try again. abd will try to upload to the server a 7.4.0 install.  

The problem with that is to with the connectionstring to a Clean new db it works with a very small test site. But with dnn I have a conflict within web.config with te <Macinekeys ValidationKey DecryptionKey 

I didn find th proper syntax indepent of the server.

Sebastian i reinstalled a blank dnn 7.0.9 to my web provider, ir works.

with ftp i copied the 7.4.0 upgrade to the site and checked that all files where copied, with change date updated on the server.

when i start this site it runs ans falls  with the message 

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator to inform of the time the error occurred and of anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
