Hi,

So I have just logged in to edit my website for the first time in a few weeks and as usual I went to Edit Page > Stay in Edit Mode.

Problem

When I went to edit a standard text module or the admin/site settings, the editing/settings module itself looks to be completely screwed.

The styling of the editing module seems to be gone, the buttons don't appear properly and most of the boxes/drop downs/text areas/tabs don't even function :(

I have attached a screenshot gallery of the "Site Settings", "Site Management" and standard text editor modules to show how the errors and how it looks:

Screenshots: http://postimg.org/gallery/1nwu7elpe/

This is what the Site Settings used to (are supposed to) look like

Further info:

I'm currently on DNN Platform v8.0.2. However since I haven't logged in or made any changes within the last few weeks, I have no idea when this started.

In February time I did post this thread and carried out the actions from Sebastian's answer, however the editing module were fine way after that. I'm not sure if maybe there are further changes I need to make to the container html files (however what doesn't make sense to me is that there are only errors in the "edit mode" modules)

did you switch to SSL or enabled combined files?

it looks like a css file is not loaded. Do you experience same behavior on a page with default skin applied?
please use network tab in Developer tools of your browser (F12) and check for files not found (404)

Hi Sebastian,

We have always been using SSL for the live site and the editing has always worked as intended. The test site is just an internally-hosted one.

Where is the "combined files" feature? I don't think I've changed anything like that.

It does seem like a css file issue, but again I haven't changed any css files in months. We did change some of the HTTP Response Headers as a result of security re-mediations but I wouldn't think this would create any styling issues.

Here is the result from the Network tab in Dev Tools when I refresh the "Site Settings" page

combine files is an option of client resource management, to combine all .css and .js files into one (each), but according to your network traffic, you are not using it.
are there any files further down the list with a status 404?

The Client Resource Management doesn't mention "combine files" being enabled.

There are no 404 errors in the Dev Tools Network tab at all.

Would it be worth re-updating the platform again? Will it prompt to 'repair' maybe?

Could you recommend any css files I should look into to see if there's any issues?
