I have wasted so much time because of Arvixe hosting provider and their support is so poor now. Not giving a solution at least for a week. The servers are down for a long time. Even we ask for a new hosting place then we moved our files and setting up the sites, those servers are also not working. Stopping the sites and not getting an answer or no solution. In the weekends, nobody will see the tickets. This is 11th month and not a solution yet. I have wasted so many hours and everyday wasting at least 2 hours for this issues. Writing tickets and contacting chat support etc. What a pathetic service from Arvixe. Very tired with these servers.

Anyway most of the time, my sites are down. I just wanted to pass this message to you and now i need to move to another hosting provider. Please advise me about a new hosting provider. Need an average price. I have about 10 domains for the first step with 8 DNN websites.

Please do not use Arvixe. Please suggest me a good hosting provider for a good price.

I need to say Bye for Arvixe soon.

Hi Y Ma,

You can try asphostportal.com. I have hosted few DNN sites with them. For me, they are reliable and they are affordable too.

Thank you very much for your suggestions and now I am checking all. I just found this one too. Has anybody tried this or any experience with these guys? - http://www.smarterasp.net/hosting_plans

Please do not use Arvixe since their support is worst than anyone.

The support and feedback within less number of hours are very important. Especially, if your site is down because their server issues, they should fix at least within a day. Arvixe is not taking this seriously. My sites have gone down for days or weeks in last 11 months and this is a very bad experience. So be careful with Arvixe.

Thank you for your all suggestions and I am checking all those and will pick the best one for us.

Hi Y Ma,

Never use them. So, I can't give any opinions. They are new hosting provider, never heard their name previously.

I have same problem with you with arvixe. But now, I have moved all of my DNN sites to asphostportal. They move my sites for free, and their price also affordable. Fit with my needs. Their support also expert in DNN technology and fast to response my questions.

Interestingly, I am disillusioned with Arvixe's horrendous services too and am in the middle of a search for a hosting provider.
Don't know how many websites you're going to host but if I may offer some hints then you'll know how to pick up the right hoster.

Smarterasp.net has drawn my attention as well as they look affordable at first sight, they have a very responsive support and they also have their own control panel. But ask them about the file number limitations on the server (50,000 files in the Advance plan as I can recall) , and most of all, apppool size limit then you'll have a bigger picture.

In the Advance plan they limit the apppool to 256 MB no matter how many websites you have. Read my lips: if you host for example 6 sites with them all you have is 256 MB for all of them, not for each.

Don't know much about asphostportal.com, but their pricing is way beyond my budget - at arvixe and mochahost.com I could get 6 websites with unlimited apppools, bandwith and server size for around $10 if paid monthly (less if paid annually) and at asphostportal.com you have to pay $14/month if payable every 3 years. For quarterly payment the price is way higher. On the other hand, I fled from mochahost and am fleeing from arvixe due to their outrageous support.

You should also look out for such sub-services as:
1. Control Panel - for example Plesk 11 is definitely outdated. Around half of hosting companies I checked have this version of Plesk.
2. possibility to have the Remote Server Access - at interserver.com they didn't have that so I had to wait up to 3 hours for their support to recycle the app pool. BTW, "touching" the web.config file remotely doesn't always recycle the apppool.
3. look for the support's phrases like "I will have to contact my manager to clarify this for you" or "I will have to escalate your ticket to my manager". That means the support is being outsourced and they don't necessarily know their ropes.
4. Be aware of the bait offers - stick to the ones which guarantee the price over the years.

If you have time, visit the MS official directory of ASP.NET hosting providers and check for yourself: http://hosting.asp.net/hosting/home

And don't always pay attention to the so called "real user reviews".
