While logged in as host I went Admin -> Languages, then from Languages -> Language Editor, in Language Editor: Local Resources\Admin\Security\App_LocalResources\Register.ascx which gets me into Selected Resource File \admin\Security\App_LocalResources\Register.ascx.resx

I go to Resource Name: PrivateMembership.Text, click on edit for Localized Value, replace the existing text with my text and an image (everything displays great in editor), click on update, log out, go to register, and the same old, default value is being displayed. I tried to clear cache, checked the actual resource file, my entry is there, but it's not when I go to register screen... I'm confused

Thanks

Waldis

I've been trying to figure this out as well.

I went to the same place as the previous post and made my changes.  Updated the screen and then logged out.  When I click on the registration link, as was with the previous post, the orignal Preferred User Information text is displayed.

I'm running the latest version of 4.3.

Any ideas?

Have a look in admin\users\manageusers...

But of course, there it was all along, staring us in the face in admin>users>manageusers.ascx.  I too, was having problems following the recommended path for these changes on the user registration form by going to admin>security>register.ascx, making the change only to see that it had not changed on the site... I thought it may have had something to do with being logged in as admin, so switched to host, made the change, still to no avail.  This was buried super deep... much more so than I think it really needs to be!

So, there you have it... for anyone who wants to make changes / modifications to the default user registration form:

Go to Admin > Languages > Language Editor > (then expand) Local Resources > Admin > Users > App_LocalResources > ManageUsers.ascx

Is that buried deep enough for us all?  I think so... there's a path reference in there for just about every DNN user in existence! :)  My goodness!
