Can someone who knows about these things please have a glance and indicate to me whether they think I will need to start over from scratch again because of the error that turned up in my fresh 433 last night?

I have just now also attempted to install the upgrade 433 version over the top and trigger an update in order to restore what might have gone faulty, but cannot seem to do so.. the dotnetnuke.dll is the same version so obviously it sees nothing to do... and does nothing.

I have a backup that will take me about 3 solid days of work backwards , but that merely risks the same thing happening all over again. How can I save all the hard work I've spent the last two weeks doing on this?

I've pasted two nearly identical errors from the log in here... one is from clicking on my name when logged in, and the other is from when I try to view a profile from the accounts page.

Any comments are greatly appreciated

Sorry for bumping this post up, but I'm getting desperate... the idea that I may have wasted nearly two solid weeks of work on this is beginning to depress the hell outta me

Can anyone comment on the type of error I'm getting... is it fatal or fixable?

I'm a DNN newbie, so I can't help.

Did you ever figure it out?

Hi Craig,

The nearest I came to tracing the cause of that particular issue was when it happened again. It seemed to be related to a skin that squeezed the contents of the user management control too tightly. When I used a slightly wider skin it was fine.

Do you have the exact same error as I had above or something that only looks similar? There are tons of things that might make your site fall over. Check the Event Viewer on the admin menu and paste in the error.

Rob
