Hi,

i changed the skin of my website and with the new skin there is no login option.i uploaded the login.aspx page on my site and i get to the Login page now but when i try to login here it gives me the following error :

SkinPlaceHolder.Controls.Add(ctlSkin) --Http exception was unhandled by usercode

The Controls collection cannot be modified because the control contains code blocks (i.e. <% ... %>).

you probably have an image within your skin pane, see http://blogs.snapsis.com/PermaLink,guid,381f9036-432e-468c-bc2e-b52ab86f12ea.aspx for more details.

LogIn without the link on the page:

http://www.DomainName.com/default.aspx?ctl=login

that will take you to the login page. I'm using this for a site which doesn't require logins for now and I have taken off the user login link on the skin.

Cheers,

Waldis

If I may be so bold as to hijack this thread... first of all, thanks for this link. It was what I was looking for as well, in a similar situation. But do you know the link for logging out?

This will get you in:

http://www.DomainName.com/default.aspx?ctl=login

and this will get you out:

http://www.DomainName.com/admin/security/logoff.aspx

assuming that www.DomainName.com is the root of your DNN portal

Hope it helps,

Waldis
