I have this problem too - but I cannot find any stored procedure called GetEventLog to make the changes. I'm running SQL Server 2005 Express. I've looked in SERVERNAME -> Databases -> DotNetNuke -> Programmability -> Stored Procedures.  This folder is empty apart from the the System Stored Procedures folder (and it's not in their either). In fact I cannot find a stored procedure called anything like GetEventLog anywhere - and I'm logged in as system administrator. Am I missing something or is my database broken, or am I just having a normal Friday moment? :(

The SQL 2000/2005 has a default language when you install the product on a server. Each database on the server usually have the same language but you can change it. The normal procedure is that you dont do it. Eg languages are not languages its different collate order and there are often more than one collate order per language.

In this case a temporary tabel is created with the server colllate order and the DNN database has an other and this doesent the server like. by the statment collate database_default the databas is created with the same collating order as the DNN database and that solves the error.

Normaly this is not a problem beacause you create the db for DNN and it get the same as the server db. When you move DNN from one server the to an other the problem can arise.

To my knowledge this is the only stored procedure in the core that has this conflict. For some modules out there there are some that could have the problem. For that reason I was happy to see Joe Brinkmans latest blog and video regarding test.
