I tried to search on this topic but both the site and forums search seem to be broken at the moment, so if there's already an answer to this maybe you can point me in the right direction.

Anyway, I've done a fresh DNN 4.3.4 install (SQL 2000).  I added a top-level tab ("test") with a single HTML/Text Module.  I added a second top-level tab ("test2").  "Test2" has both a HTML/Text Module and a "What's New" Module.  The "Home" page is the default one for the default portal of a new install with the Books listing, and Links etc.  I added a link of my own to the existing "Links" module on the home page.  All the default DNN stuff shows up in "What's New", but neither of my HTML/Text Modules showed up, and neither did my added link (althought default pre-installed ones did show up).  I set up "What's New" to list 50 items (10 per page).  I tried restarting IIS, and clearing my IE cache, but still my stuff didn't show up in "What's New".  Then I started deleting some links.  They disappeared from the Links table in the database, but still showed up in "What's New".  Then I tried restarting IIS again - no dice.  Finally I deleted some of the default HTML/Text Modules.  After doing this, my own Link and the HTML/Text Module on the same tab ("Test2") as my "What's New" Module did finally show up, and the deleted Links now were gone from "What's New".  However, the HTML/Text Module on my "Test" tab still didn't show up.  Another IIS restart, and clearing my IE cache again didn't help.

So what determines what things will show up in "What's New"?  How do I get "What's New" to refresh?

Did you set the number of days?

Yes I did (to 10 days, and the new stuff was posted today).

I added an "Announcements" module to the tab (the same one with the "What's New" module).  I added an announcement, an it showed up in the What's New module.  Then I added a blog with a couple of posts.  Next I added a 2nd announcement to the same Announcement module.  The blog stuff, and the 2nd announcement do not show up.  The 1st announcement is still there.  I've restarted IIS.  "What's new" is set to show 10 items per page, and its currently only got 8 items listed.  I don't understand what I'm missing.

Just an update.  About an hour after I posted this, the 2nd announcement started showing up in "What's New".  So, I guess something is being cached, or is causing stuff to not show up immediately, even when I restart IIS.

However, my HTML/Text modules still aren't showing up at all.  (Only the default HTML/Text modules on the home page that come with a fresh install are showing up in "What's New").

Post the settings you applied to the module so we can test them...?
