Did you try disabling the cache of the blogs module (setting it to zero)?

Cheers

I disabled caching for the entire portal.  Does this not trickle down to the Blog module or should I test that separately?

I'd put all the cache settings back to the way it was now your know it's the blogs module that the problem, and try disabling the cache (set cache time to zero) on the blogs module. It may/may not work, but it's worth a go.

Cheers

Alex
