Hello,

My apologies if this is not the right area: we have test copies of our DNN sites, and would like to script the skinning of the sites, so that it switches to a test skin. I can easily see where the current default skin is stored in the SQL database, but where are the entire selections of skins stored so that we can use a *.SQL script to swap out skins? Thanks.

I think you will have more chance to get an answere if you post this in one of the development forums.
(I don't know the answere)

There is no place in the db that stores a catalog of your sites skins. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

The skin selectors in the admin pages are populated by a file system hit.

You could try using xp_cmdshell to get a directory listing of the skins directory.  Something like:

   xp_cmdshell 'dir C:\Development\DNN322\Portals\0\Skins /b'

You have to make sure the security on the directory you are listing is available to "network service", or the SQL server agent proxy account, otherwise you could get an access denied (or similar) error.  Also the SQL user you are logged in as has to be in the "sysadmin" role.  (More info in SQL books online, just search for "xp_cmdshell").
