Hi Nina

Seems we were working in parallel solutions today. I found that adding table {text-align:left;} to default.css solved the problem most elegantly - i.e. no changes to DNN core controls. Being in the default.css ensures it applies to any child nodes.

Thanks and regards

Thanks very much.  I had the exact problem and now it is solved.  The only problem I have now is that my SEOMenu in IE floats.  The menu is vertical and if the page I am on is smaller than the menu, the menu floats outside of it's container.  If you have a look at this page you will see what I mean.  Not sure what the best fix is for that.

I changed the doc type and the page now works in IE7, but NOT in FireFox 2.0! Do you all know what is going on?

Same problems here.  I'm running DNN3.2.2 with SEOmenu.  I love SEOmenu - it's been very helpful.  But keeping the "core" DOCTYPE of "HTML 4.0" means the SEOskinobject which replaces my solpartmenu will not dropdown in IE7.  It's fine in Firefox.

The SEOmenu designer said there is no way to make it work in IE7 without changing the doc type to "XHTML 1.0" - I don't know why this is as I don't know a great many things.

Changing the doctype to "XHTML 1.0" does make the menu dropdown in IE7.  But it has some side effects and I'm wondering if there aren't more sideeffects I haven't noticed yet.  The two I've seen:

In Firefox, the caret in the upper left hand corner of a module will not display the settings and other menus.
In IE7 I get extra whitespace at the very bottom of my pages.

I'm going to run in XHTML 1.0 for awhile and see what all is affected and keep this list updated.

Also, I've read that ASP.NET doesn't generate XHTML compliant HTML.  Not sure how that factors into anything.  I guess if it works then it works.

I'm too poor for anything other than the community version

Mike, I didn't see the floating menu on that page.  I might have looked at the wrong spot.

I have noticed that in Firefox, with XHTML 1.0 running, the SolPartMenu floats.  Haven't seen the SEOmenu float but then there could be worlds of difference between your CSS and mine.
