I have tried this on both clean installs and upgrades with the same results.

Logged in as host, go to the Log Viewer, then either attempt to use the page control or select a value from the 'Records per page' dropdown menu. The result generates this error:

Error: Log Viewer is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Element 'LogProperties' was not found. Line 1, position 2. ---> System.Xml.XmlException: Element 'LogProperties' was not found. Anybody else experiencing this? Perhaps someone has some insight.

Hello cjsmitty

I also got the same error. I navigated to host/site settings and set the log viewer to DNN 4.4.0 and it solved the problem for me.

I have been through the Host Settings and do not see a control to select an Event Log Viewer. The only Event Log control I see is "Enable Event Log Buffer?"

I'm getting this error as well.....

The only LOGGING I see that references 4.4.0 is the "View Upgrade Log" in the Host settings...

Hello

I went back into my site and clicked on host/site settings just to re-check. But now although I can access the Log I am getting an error when trying to access host:
