OK, I understand. Yes, the IDs stay the same once you place an instance of a DNN module on a page, however, only on the same site, so they are oviously not portable and if you replace them a new ID is assigned. I guess that IDs in DNN are simply consecutive numbers and they may even never really be deleted, it could only be a change of their actual status.

You're right, for a site that is running well and has its pages set up, this is a good workaround because it will keep on working if they do not change, and that goes also for the client javascript I'm injecting (assigning onclick, onmouseover and onmouseout events to image buttons - on page onload event - for example) in a module's header/footer section.

Thanx again!

Pieter

Hi guys,

I've implemented this idea as well and it seems to work fine thanks. However, have you managed to get mouseovers working as well? My menu items go from pink to red (8 items) and I have used CSS styling as you have suggested. I now need to apply a white mouse-over on each of these items. Any ideas? The current style (.MainMenu_MenuItemSel) no longer works.

Thanks,

Marcus

Marcus,

Mouseovers are a built-in part of the menu. If you are having trouble, try the SOLPARTMENU, not the older MENU control.

The whole idea of my post was to let the menu do it's think, but overload it for ONE (or so) tabs to make them stand out.

Does that help?

I thought of another way to do this which may not work.

For the page title in page settings, try <span class="someClass">page title</span>. For the page I'm currently working with, I'm not using SOLMENUPART, but another menu, but when I put in <i>page title</i>, sure enough, it italicized the page title.

Let us know how it works!

Brad
