Yep.

<div class="logo">
<dnn:LOGO runat="server" id="dnnLOGO" />
<%=IIf(PortalSettings.LogoFile = "", String.Concat("<a href=""http://", PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias, """>", PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias, "</a>"), "")%>
</div>

BAD DNN!!! lol.

I imagine it should work but don't. I end up with this in the ascx, which in turn causes the skin to not load:
<dnn:LOGO runat="server" id="dnnLOGO" />
<%=IIf(PortalSettings.LogoFile = "", String.Concat("<a href="/portals/0/skins/prototype/"http://", PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias, """>", PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias, "</a>"), "")%></div>

I know I can edit the ascx to make it correct, but the intent was to have an html skin that can be uploaded, parsed and work.
Apparently the skin engine is parsing the href tag when it shouldn't be.
You'd think the it would be smart enough to ignore something like that, eh?
I jest- how could they know someone would try what I'm doing?

Hmmm...

To be honest I tried the first one with parsing from HTML, the second I didn't.

(it tries to resolve the links to a path to the skin)

I'll have another look at it...

It's a bit of a hack, but this way:

<div class="logo">
[LOGO]
<%=IIf(PortalSettings.LogoFile = "", String.Concat("<a hr", "ef=""http://", PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias, """>", PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias, "</a>"), "")%>
</div>

The href should be ignored and it should work...

Or like this:

<div class="logo">
[LOGO]
<%=IIf(PortalSettings.LogoFile = "", String.Concat("<a href='http://", PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias, "'>", PortalSettings.PortalAlias.HTTPAlias, "</a>"), "")%>
</div>

That did it- both work.
Much thanks.
Clever trick too, splitting the tag....
Guess that proves beyond a doubt that it's the skin engine doing it.

I've also opened in issue on Gemini about this so we'll see what happens.
