Add CssClass="yourclass" to the title tag in the container ascx.

Alternatively, make a change to admin/Containers/title.ascx but remember to do it again after updating DNN.

it's all come down to having complete control over the design after all. Here is the short article called "The Demise of the Default.css" might offer some help.

It's not only work with the headings, but having complete control over your site design.

I have done this multiple times and agree its a big help. IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING. Otherwise learn to understand the default.css then delete it :)

But back to OP - You can set the DNN:Titles CssClass attribute to point to a empty CSS style. In your container's CSS this will ensure you have voided out styling for the title and you can point different variations of your Container IE colors to the same CSS which uses the same class to keep your files small.
