hey guys,

just a short question: is it possible to change a certain skin into a new one, only by pushing a html-button/link?
or is there any workaround, how to change a skin by pushing a simple button?

i'm not really into .net programming, so any suggestions would be helpful!

Hi
I'm not sure I understand what your process is as your reference to needing .net programming confuses me. I use about a dozen different skins on our site and its just a matter of zipping them up and loading them in the Host or Admin > Skins page. I name them the same as the one it will be replacing so the new one copies over the older one and it's pretty quick and straight forward to update this way. Hope that helps.

nono, of course uploading and changing the skin in the admin/host area is no problem.

what i mean is:
i want the skin to change, when the client clicks on a certain button in the front-end, not in the back-end.

Yes, it is possible. You just need design your site using CSS layout approach, then using this little skinobject to switch the style sheet when users click on "a button".

that sounds good, but i need something which EXCHANGES the .ascx-file, from SkinA.ascx to SkinB.ascx.
