You could try this:

Add a class to the left and right separator images  (.MenuSeparator)

And set this in skin.css

.MenuSeparator{

display:block;

}

If not, post again please..

I added the cssclass

.Menuseparator{

display:block;

}

And it caused no effect on the IE page (still broken) and in Firefox it now stacks the left and right separator.

another option is to change to a better more clean css menu like snapsis navmenu from http://www.snapsis.com. I never use solpart or dnnmenu from the start, way too much overkill aeird coding and structures
