If you find any issues in the "Pre-release version of DNN 5 skin object tables" document found on this page:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/LinkClick.a...

please post them here.

I want to keep the thread specifically for this task, so I'll remove any off subject posts.

There's also some info in the DNN wiki on skin objects: http://www.dnnsoftware.com/wiki/page/skin-objects

Good start!

Regarding the NAV object the tables on page 15 and 16 includes CSS classes that never have been implemented.

The text telling  the new .xyz type replaces old 1.0 type is not correct then making menus that requier separators are not handled in the .xyz type.

Some paramaters like Customatributes are not included (Not fully implemented either)  I think a regulary skinner would benefit to know what parameters could be used for the NAV control (or any other control) not what parameters are implemented in the provider. To get it to work both the provider and the control needs to take care of the value.

Furthermore a exact version of the control would be useful just 2.0.0 does not exist. The menu depends on a provider for the moment 5.0.0.xxxx and the webcontrol 2.0.37x

I recomend a test of the menu before releasing the documentation for that part.

Jan, thanks for the feedback.

"The text telling  the new .xyz type replaces old 1.0 type is not correct then making menus that requier separators are not handled in the .xyz type."

I don't understand what you mean..
You can still use the separators in combination with the shorter classes of the menu, or do you mean something else?

You are right, but I decided not to include them since they are not in the current  5.0 release. I'll sd those if they are.

Thats right, ok I missuderstood the text. "there is no need to use these atributes.........."  You are refering to the classes you have omitted in the table. I wrongly read it as the whole table. Maybe all working items should be in the table and a note for the new .xyz stuff.

at first glance, only the search skinobject is missing attributes. Not much info about it available publicly though, all i could find was this on an external site: http://dnngallery.net/Blog/articleType/ArticleView/articleID/50/Search-SkinObject-Enhancement-in-DotNetNuke-Version-49.aspx

I'll take a closer look and give more info here.
