Hi Alejandro,

You're right, I hadn't noticed that, I'm now keen to know the official workaround too!

(and also why the rich-text editor box on this site has stopped working for me under Opera)

This site is running rel 5.1 and the problem with menus dropdowns des not exis in release 5. It  was/is a rel 4.9 problem.

Jan is quite correct. This has been deliberately done to force you all to upgrade to 5.1.1 when it's out, whether you want to or not :).

Thank you Jan, just like you say, I started my localhost installation of v5.1.0 and it does not show this issue. However, after you said that the bug does not exist in WebControls for this release, I wondered if there was an update available for those WebControls.

However, when I went to the Download page, under Supplementary Downloads, I found that the ASP.NET WebControls available are dated 2/8/2007. My question on a previous post of this very same thread is if there is (or should be) an update for the WebControls. What do you think?

Anyways. I noticed a couple of days ago that Google itself is using Barry's workaround. See http://www.google.com/ig (under IE; the Meta Tag is not delivered for other browsers).

So I am marking Barry's answer/workaround as the one to this thread.

But I strongly suggest the DNN Team to make available an update for the WebControls, or whatever it is that has changed for version 5.x. The thing is, we still will have many DNN installations running under 4.9.4 until 5.1.x is thoroughly tested. This is IMHO. :-)

Thanks Barry and Jan!

Saludos,

Alejandro.

PS: Hey Alex, I have just read your post. I sincerely hope you're wrong! ;-) Thanks for posting!
