I am working on producing some free webinars in the next 4-6 weeks on advanced skinning topics. If there are any specific skinning-related topics that you would like to see covered, please post a suggestion here. These webinars would build on the Beginning Skinning webinar from last month (recording here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Webinars.aspx). I appreciate your suggestions -- thanks.

Hi

 Many thanks Nik

I am sure there will be many requests for existing skinning technology. But for me and my team:-

Probably some of the new skin objects finding their way in DNN5x and beyond?

Perhaps if you could touch on general direction the skinning engine is heading for?

Hi

Sounds cool.  Firstly - Please could you define "advanced" skinning topics...?

I have a few things I'd like to hear / learn more about  - not sure if this is the kind of thing that get's covered at these events:

  1. Towards a default, unordered list menu (both vertical and horizontal) for DNN, and how to implement it
    1. Maybe discuss what skinners expect from such a menu system and formulate a workflow methodology for getting it off the ground.
    2. Discussion will most probably also end up revolving around NAVMenu's rendermode issues...
  2. How to incorporate flash into .ascx skins, or creating flash banner skin objects that use swfobject scripts.
  3. Newer skin objects for DNN5.0 and beyond

Also, could these talks be saved for download like TED.COM videos...  That would be cool.  I see you have a recorded webinars section - haven't check it out properly yet though.

I would second the motion to demo the move from the old skinning method to the new one (esp the Menu).

(in reference to Translation issue from <dnn:NAV /> to <object />)
