I want to have the menu text centered between a vertical image.  If I use SeparatorHTML, I have the text bumping up agains the image.  Is there any way to have the separator centered between the menu texts?

Joe I do it like this in rel 5.

The css.

..navmenu_sep{ margin: 0 5px 0 5px; background: url(../images2/split.png) no-repeat center ;

And

.mainMenu.root

{text-align: center; line-height: 41px; padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px; color: White;}

Then you get it centred.

SeparatorHTML="<span class=&quot;navmenu_sep&quot;>&nbsp;</span>"

I'm also one struggling with the SeparatorHTML which I had thought would be rather simple to get right.

It's bang against the left of the root menu item, although the root menu item has padding-left of 20px.  It also appears to be getting caught up in the hover too - with colour changes.  The CSSSeparator doesn't seem to be getting applied either.

Jan

Thanks for the reply to this.  Hopefully this helps Joe - I will check this out for myself as well, as I have never managed to get SeparatorHTML property to work for me...

Keep the DNN Nav posts coming here.  If you have other threads related to DNN Nav that have answers, please also post links to them here.

SeparatorHTML works in some case but it is conected to the main are so sometimes its hard to use it. In some cases you can use the right or left separator to do the job instead as they are easy to change in active, bc and normal mode.

I should have add a request in gemini to change this but I think its no idea due to the fact that it seems that the core team and/or the corp does not care how the menu works or don't works. I dont know maybe its a political question.

The work done by Jon is huge and the menu is much better than the reputation, but the documentation, support and anouncement about the menu is below kelvin 0.

Anyhow I think I can do most menus with it, but I hope core team solve some issue around it.
