Another story with a happy ending: After some initial problems figuring out that an object had to be closed with a full /object upcode (even when there are no parameters) I was able to make dnn parse the new syntax. I spent some time creating a new sample skin without tables, using DNN5 syntax for objects, to be released with the new upgrade or its beta.

This weekend, I'll be delving into VB specifics and working with dictionaries vs arraylists. I also need to figure out if ever DNN has included a file called locales.xml and portal versions locales.Portal-n.xml in the App_GlobalResources folder.

Marc, please note that in DNN 5, langauges.xml has been moved into the database, tables languages and portallanguages (AFAIR).

Cheers from Germany,
