I don't think you checked out the examples completely, it shows you a way to have dynamic child menu's they are not hardcoded.

If the code you are talking about is this then I still have an issue:

<dnn:NAV runat="server" ID="dnnNAV2" StartTabId="<%#Portalsettings.Activetab.Breadcrumbs(0).TabId%>" Level="Child" ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" IndicateChildren="false" ControlOrientation="Vertical" CSSControl="AllMenu">
                <CustomAttributes>
                    <dnn:CustomAttribute Name="RenderMode" Value="UnorderedList" />
                </CustomAttributes>
            </dnn:NAV>
-------------------------------------
It is almost like I need to write my own as I do not see how one would want the ..\ in a menu if you are in a child page. It make little to no sense. I would think that the majority of people using a site would like to ... at least ... see the parent page not a ..\

I think having multiple menus is too much. All I wanted was when you are in the child page to continue to show the parent links as well as sibling links.

I will continue to entertain thoughts on this, and certainly I can except being wrong if your examples that you showed to me are what I need.
