The subject says it all. I am currently redesigning my company's website and I have hit a snag with the drop down navigation. In my design for the home page I have the drop down navigation with a scrolling flash window underneath. The problem is the drop downs constantly go behind the flash window. I have searched for fixes like making the flash transparent and messing with the z-index but nothing seems to work. What is weird is that when I view it in edit mode they go over the flash but when I go to view mode they are underneath.

I am currently building this on my computer but I made up a test page on the site so you can see what I'm talking about.

I'm not sure what you can do short of putting some explicit z-index parameter in the embed code.

But, a much better solution is to use the free DifFlash module from DigNuke.com to add flash files to your site. You'll have much more control.

Hi

try redoing your menu using the ddrmenutemplates from codeplex especially the superfish one. this one in combination with wmode="transparent" and z-index of 1000  works for me in a recent projec

Thanks for the help, I was finally able to figure out how to fix it. I made the module position relative and the z-index started working. But now I have an issue with the drop downs being cut off by the bottom of the module.

Back to the drawing board.

I think rather than developing your own flash modules you should try the already proven free ones available from dotnetnuke site.
In that way you will get more support, both from developer and the community.
