Hi all,

I have a menu item that I do not want to make an active link.  Users will hover over it and a drop down menu will appear.

With this said, how can I get the item in the menu to NOT link to a page?  Is there a field in one of the tables that I can manually change to do this?  It should be a 1 time thing so I don't care about having to do something manually.

Thanks,

Mark

you can disable the link through page settings. Even with the page in place it will behave as you described.

Steve,

It looks like checking "disabled" did it although I can still click it but it now takes me to the portal's home page. Is this what you were referring to or was there another option? I did try to set "none" for "link type" but that didn't seem to work.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark, ticking 'Disabled' should have done what you wanted. Which version of DNN are you using? I just tried it in DNN 6.1.3 and it works for me. I know there was another issue with using 'Disabled' in a DNN 6 version but that resulted in the page in question disappearing from the menu. Haven't heard of this particular issue.

Pingle,

My DNN version is 6.1.3.

Disabling the page keeps it in the menu but pointing to it with my mouse still shows that it links to the page but it seems to redirect me from that page to the home page. This essentially does what I need by preventing that page from being viewed but my preference would be for the item to not even go to the page at all.

Thanks,
Mark
