Hi,

I'm very begginer here, so I can only hope, that I'm writting about my problem in right place.

So, what's the problem?

I'm writting my module for DNN 4.5. I've go there two simple dropDownLists where one has autopostBack set on true, and when it's index changes, causes reload on the second dropDownList. And that works, but only when I'm logged in as admin or host. When I'm logged off or logged as plain user, when I change the first dropDown nothing happens. I mean- there is postback and page reloads, but on the resoult, first and second dropdown has it's old value.

I hope you know what's the problem and can help me.

Greg.

Is this a view or an edit control?

Have you stepped thru the code in debug to make sure it is running as expected

Without seeing the code its really hard for anyone to do anything but make guesses.

But for starters - check if module cacheing is turned on.

Set caching to 0 in module settings.

Hi there.

Thank you all for reply.

Hm, I tried to change Cache time for the page, where my module is and that works:) So now when index changed at first dropdown, there are changes at the second one. Thanks:)

but... There's another problem I didn't write last time. Actually I've got there two modules. One is to search (there are those two dropdowns) and second one is to show in a grid resoults of the search. And again - When I'm logged as host or admin- search works, but when I'm plain user or not logged - modules don't communicate.

(communication between modules is done with IModuleCommunicator and IModuleListener interfaces).

Can you help me this time again?
