Where is the current code for the register module?  I have version 4.5.1, and it source.

I need to add a few more fields and the approval process will need to be customized, because multiple people will need to signoff before a the user can be approved.

Any advice before I start?

thanks,

Dean

Admin\Security\Register.ascx is the actual registration page.

My advice would be to not touch the core module and write a module that does the same things and handles the workflow for you

makes it much easier to upgrade in the future - and more versitile for you

I was thinking the same thing to extend the current modules instead of changing them for future upgrades.  Now How would I override the current register module from being called and forced my register module to be called instead?

Dean - if you look in the admin site settings there is a place to set special pages Advanced Settings>Page Management - here you can set the user page to a page you designate - so to use your module simply create a page add the registration / user edit module to that page and then set it as the user page -
