Hooligannes,

If you didn't fix yours yet here's a reproduction of the of the ToolKit page in module form and my xml file that I got to work. One thing I noticed on some purchased skins is that they render incorrectly. I'm going to have to ge back and do some reengineering.

The issue was that I was using a LinkButton and not a Button. The Link postsback but the button triggers the javascript.

John,

What is quirksmode? Using the <SkinDocType> causes the majority of my skins and their associated CSS files break. 6 of one, half dozen of the other; the end result is I cannot use the ModalPopupExtender without re-engineering every skin.

Yes, this is the problem with changing doctypes and why doctypes are specifically associated with skins.

The only other option would be to update the common.js in the toolkit to calculate the body width correctly.  However, this creates a problem of its own, as you would branch their code.  Not to mention it is probably not the only issue you would encounter.

Thanks Jon, but creating a DocType file for every skin file in order to get the ModalPopupExtender to work in DNN is ludicrous. The problem is obviously something that the ToolKit developers and DNN Core should address.

Like I said previously I'm not qualified to say who is to blame, but I would really like to know if this is important enough to get into Gemini for resolution. Since many of the core developers [may] have direct access to the AJAX development team, a collaboration effort between the two should follow (if it hasn't already).  Seems you already have a great deal of info to share with them.
