OK what is going on is that you are loading ucCriteria as a user control and not as a module. So you need to:

a) Pass the current context to the uc, or

b) pass just the tabid and moduleid values

c) or code the uc to access the parent module.

There are no DLLs in the package since this is connecting to an external datasource (not in the portal database). The best you'll be able to do is see the spagetti code I have on the EditPatch control.

Now, I did the same thing as you mentioned above but this time I put a linkbutton on the EditControl page. Other than my field validators fussing with me, navigation occured as expected.

In the third DropDownList I require values from the prior two values as parameters to perform a query. I then do an Items.Add("New") to the third so the user can add a new record. The SelectedIndexChanged event of the third DDL fires and if "New" is selected, supposed to navigate to the control. I need to find a way to have the SelectedIndexChanged event reference and execute the parent LinkButton1_Click event. I do not know how to do that yet.

I hate not knowing how to do this but... Might I bother you one more time in asking how to do your suggestion? I really appreciate the fact you have taken the time to help me and I'm extremely greatful for your generosity thus far.

Create a couple of properties to pass the ModuleID and PortalID values, then in the Page_Load event of the EditPatch DNN control pass the values from its context.
