Hi Lee,

I just want to update about what I did. Actually I put that on my page_load event but nothing happens. Still I have the same default header text.  Did I miss something here?

Thanks,

Willy David Jr

Not if you just copied it in, Look here:

http://demo.iwkoeln.de/Informationen/AllgemeineInfodienste/iwd/AktuelleAusgabe/tabid/241/articleno/21142/Default.aspx

there on the right hand side is a module with the title: "iwd - Nr. 30 vom 26. July 2007".

The same code produces that, but the module with: "Darmstadt ist halb London" is supposed to work the same, but it just wouldn't work. As a test, try placing the module in the "right pane" and see if it works there.

I don't think it is, but it could be a thing with the "content pane"

I cannot test myself as I no longer work for that company.

Everything below this line is invalid! The system just will not let me change the text. o0O(Maybe the company paid someone)

You cant change the ModuleTitle property in the PAGE_LOAD event due to the way the TITLE Skin component operates.

The TITLE Skin component reads the value of
ModuleConfiguration.ModuleTitle during its OWN PAGE_LOAD call.
Which is called BEFORE the PAGE_LOAD event of your module executes.

As a result the only place you can change the module title is in the PAGE_INIT event.

As I say I had 2 modules and one worked and the other not, I changed the title in a custom subroutine that was/is called from Page_Load. That however does not say why it works in one and not in the other.

It should not WORK if you make the change at the PAGE_LOAD stage for the reasons stated previously.

the TITLE module PAGE_LOAD will be firing before the module loads - seems very odd.
