Is anyone successfully using Infragsitics NetAdvantage controls in their modules?  If so, are there any "gotchas" I need to be aware of?

I purchased their web control suite for a non-DNN site that I'm building and would like to use their controls in some of my DNN Modules.

The last time I tried using Infragistics web controls with DNN module development was way back in the DNN 2.2 days (2004) - and there were a number of issues that I was unable to overcome at that time.

Thanks in advance.

We use DevExpress. The web components have really come on leaps and bound in the past year.

I will also pick up on a point mentioned. All of these suites are too expensive for one man band/hobbiest projects.

We have used Infragistics NetAdvantage since DNN2.2.  They keep getting easier to use which has nothing to do with DNN.  The current version 2007 VOL3 is very solid and the number of controls is unmatched by any other suites.

While there are other options the simplest way to deploy is to:
1. Create a virtual folder "ig_common" per the suggested installation.
2. Dump all the .dll files into the DNN /bin folder.

That's it.

I forgot to mention a very important details.  A co-worker reminded me of this when talking about this thread...

I don't know about the most recent additions here, but of the first three providers that were mentioned here, we have found that telerik has the most leniant restrictions regarding licensing, deployment, and distribution of their controls with your products.

Hi,

I just downloaded Developer Express - and I'm trying to use some of their ASPX edit controls in a DNN Module.  The controls work fine in a regular ASP.NET application on my PC, but in my DNN module, they don't work.  There are no errror messages - they just don't work.

For instance the aspxspinedit control - which is just supposed to accept numeric entry - accepts characters, the date edit control does nothing ...  Was there anything special you had to do to get these controls to work in your module?

I am running DNN 4.7.0.

P.S.  I am running the DNN site from localhost and I was able to use some Infragistics controls with no problem.
