When checking in project to VSS or other source control system I usually have better luck doing it through Visual Studio's check-in.  VS knows what files should and should not be controlled, like the binaries should NOT be checked in.  If you just checkin all files via the VSS interface you will get files that VS and/or ASP.NET need to change and files that should NOT go to other dev boxes when a "get" is done elsewhere.
