Hi,

I am trying to use the starter kit for vs 2005. When I start vs 2005 and select file/new website/DotNetNuke Web Application Framework etc. I get the following error when the template attempts to build the project:

Microsoft Visual Studio
Project Template Wizard
The file controlWindow.js could not be found within the project templates. Continuing to run, but the resulting project may not build properly.

I then get this same error for probably 200 or more files including spellcheck.html and other .js files. I've tried using http when selecting the dnn template for the project and also tried selecting file system but same results. Does anyone know why I am getting this error and how can I fix it so the project can setup properly? The starter kit msi file for 4-08 installed properly with no problems. I installed everything in the starter kit. I am running vs 2005 professional. Thanks if anyone can help!

I am running the samething. I had no problem adding a dnn project from vb and adding modules. I did download the iis6 manager for xp from microsoft.

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=f9c1fb79-c903-4842-9f6c-9db93643fdb7&displaylang=en

I did not use that instatllation of dnn, because I think "the recommedned method is to set up dnn folder outside of wwwroot."

The instruction for dnn set up I followed was from the following link.

http://dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com/DotNetNuke/tabid/195/Default.aspx

The file 'controlWindow.js " apprently is used by fckeditor and should be package in

"YourDNNfolder\Providers\HtmlEditorProviders\Fck\FCKeditor\editor\dialog\fck_spellerpages\spellerpages" folder
