but Core already has WSP..   this thread says WAP.  If you want starter kit for WAP, I don't see the need if you are not developing modules.  So if you want do develop a module using WAP, no need to change core per other thread?   Seems like we are just having two threads discussing the same thing.. really.   I'd like to get everybody on the same page and make this happen.

It is really quite simple.

WSP was created by MS as an easy to use project concept for non developers without much developer input.

I have talked with several MS RD's and Evists, and they report hearing the same things, professional devs do not like the WSP project model. to the extent a number of shops opted to wait for the WAP update before switching to VS2005.

My take on WSP, I will not use them.  Period.

I just fail to see why it matters that VWDE users count here.  If you need a web portal, IMHO, you need to be using something more than a toy for development work.

Dwayne, How are you versioning your modules now?

Any update Bert?  You mentioned on your page you were waiting on DAL+.

Dwayne - any update on how you're doing this?

I'm hesitant to step into this and would like to see how this is progressing.  Right now, I'm pre-compiling the whole site and picking out my module dll's (several of them), and uploading these.  It is polluting the bin folder IMO, but it works and is pretty easy (other than coding all the lines to the dnn file).

Cheers
