We didn't stop CI, its just in a transition phase because of the multiple framework versions and the changes in dev structure in 2.0. If I were to start an open source project on my own, I probably would checkout CodePlex but I couldn't possibly get involved in another project because I just don't have the time.

VB.net in mono is also not supported and Microsoft just dished out some serious cash to NOVELL to get rolling on some cross platform .NET support.

As of the latest versions there is a working VB.NET compiler for mono. The mono system.windows.forms implementation is also good enough to seriously start thinking about making your windows only codebase crossplatform.

I am shure by halfway next year DNN will run on linux XSP out of the box (except maybe some windows only stuff)

EDIT: be shure to try out sharpdevelops language converter. the VB.NET => C# part works verry good
C# => VB.NET is not always good, depends on how "readable" the C# code was
