version 1.1 was released and it can be used as a skin object and can be used in a table like you want.  Please see http://dotnetnuke.montreat.edu for the updated module and instructions.

I took a look at the sample you provided in the comments on your website and I am having trouble understanding how that sample applies to the table I illustrated above.  Your skin object outputs a complete table.  What I was hoping for is that it would output just the path to the image.

Your module is generating this:

<table class="cssImgTbl" cellspacing="0" align="Left" border="0" style="border-collapse:collapse;">
 <tr>
  <td id="dnn_RandomImage_0" class="imgtd"><img src="/Portals/0//PageImages/banner2.jpg" border="0" /></td>
 </tr>
</table>

What I was hoping for is simply:  /Portals/0//PageImages/banner2.jpg

If it was just the path to the random image then I could use it to generate the path to the background image for a cell (<td>) in my table since my table has other rows as well.

Thanks for the help.

Craig

craigm,

I have updated the module just for you.  Version 1.2 released and allows this to do what you want.  Use the same way you did before, however you need to add another variable to the list under the skin.  Add bg="True" and it will generate the text to create a background image in a table.  Instructions and file can be downloaded at http://dotnetnuke.montreat.edu.

Fantastic!  Thank you.

I'll send you a couple of URLs offline so you know where it is being used.
