I have exported the file in the format you asked for nicnatf, howver the DotNetNuke website does not allow me to publish that file extension. Until I talk to someone about allowing that file extension, perhaps you could email me and I'll pass it along to you. You can email me a cismitty AT gmail DOT com.

Hi Mitchel,

I had the same problem a while back.  If you are refering to the Microsot Help file format (.chm file), here's what you do.

  • Right-click on the downloaded file and select properties.
  • On the bottom of the general tab you will see a comment about file security and the file being blocked.
  • There should be an [Unblock] button... click it and try opening the file again.

These help files are some form of executable and when you download from an untrusted site Windows blocks the file from executing.  This had me stumped until someone pointed this out.  I think it was Chris.

Hope this helps!

Chuck R.

Chris,

I am the author of SqlSpec, thanks for the plug. :)

Just curious, why do you think red-gate's sql doc is better?  it costs a lot more, has fewer features, and supprts only SQL Server, whereas SqlSpec supports every major DBMS on the market.

Jesse,

I guess I should have been more specific, I never mentioned SQL Docs, but SQL Bundle. RedGate offers tools, such as SQL Compare and DB Compare that are not available in your product. For instances where a DB must be compared quickly with a development model or a back-up, their tools excel. In the case where a merge in needed, the procedure is painless regardless of constraints.

Don't get me wrong, your tool is the best at what is does, cross DB platform analysis; and given the breadth of Oracle tools on the market...that is why I feel your product is worth every penny of it's licence.
