It's very very easy!

As long as the code is using GMaps2 (at least) then all you have to do is call 
<javascriptMapName>.enableGoogleBar();

It's that easy - see http://www.runsaturday.com/People/Courses/Mapper/tabid/99/Default.aspx for example
