HTMLTextAlerts Module for DNN 3.x extends on the Text/HTML module that comes with DotNetNuke.  The HTMLTextAlerts module allows a person with Settings privelages to set any number of Roles or Email addresses to be notified whenever the module's text is updated.

When a user edits the modules text or HTML and clicks "Update" the module sends out emails to all the users in the Roles that have been selected as well as to all the emails that have been listed.

The email message that is sent from the module is completely customizeable.

Thank you  for the great module.

The product works perfectly with existing roles such as Administrators but I can't seem to get it working with the ones I create and assign users to.  I've recreated the "Test Role" and "Test User".  I'm using DNN 3.3.5. 

Here are my steps:

1. Installed HTMLTextAlerts via Host account.  Success
2. Dropped Module on a test page.  Success
3. Edited Settings on Module to have the e-mail sent to the "Test Role" with a "Test User" in it.  I also checked the "Administrators" role. (Success)
4. "Send email Test" works fine and I receive message to users in "Administrators" and "Test Role". (Success)
5. However, editing the HTML text will only send the email that the "Content has been updated" to members of the "Administrators" role but not the "Test Role" users. (Unsuccessful)

Your insight and expertise is much appreciated. I hope I'm simply overlooking something.

I think I have this worked out.  I have tested in my development, debug and production enviroment.  Everything is working on my side.  Keep me posted of any errors you might have.  Sorry it took so long.  Spent the weekend in Des Moines Iowa watching my wife run her first Marathon (I have a bad leg from a half marathon in the Spring )  Thanks for pointing out the problem.

UPDATE: New version out October 16, 2006.  Fixed introduced bug that prevented all users from being notified on text update.
