Hi all,
another try: open file “DNN Store.dnn” from source archive, uncomment line 12 (resourcefile node), save back to source archive and install the source package once again.

We fixed our issues with installing the source code. The two things that gave us problems were: 1. Not knowing where to extract the resource.zip files to. 2. Errors opening the Dotnetnuke.Store.sln file after extracting the resource.zip files into …\DesktopModules\Store directory. The error was that the project type (.csproj) was not installed. We uninstalled the Store and removed the files. Unzipped the resource.zip file into the \DesktopModules\Store directory and reinstalled the Store. We still got errors so we Googled the errors and found that the version of Visual Studio we were running only had VB installed. We used Visual Studio 2008 with C++ and C# installed and after the solution was converted from VS2005 to VS2008 the store compiled without error. We now have a new issue. The PayPal page just shows the Return to Merchant link and our company name. This has always occurs when we change the PayPal or Gateway settings in the DNN Store until we restart the DNN application or IIS and open a new browser session. With the source version the problem is persisting even after we restart DNN, IIS, and the browser session. We are still able to get to the correct PayPal page from the subscribe link in the user profile area of DNN, but the DNN Store no longer goes to the correct PayPal page since installing and compiling the source version.

I was able to fix the issue with not being able to reach the PayPal site correctly. I removed and reentered the Payment settings in both the Admin and Host menu of the portal, restarted DNN from the host menu, and opened a new browser. I was able to process a payment and the status in the store site was changed from Awaiting Payment to Paid. Now I can begin to recreate the issues I was having on my other portals and hopefully figure out how to step the code and correct the issues with IPN. The issues on my other portals have to do with the use of any redirect on login, logout, and registration; or the use of CAPTCHA; or requiring additional profile fields and a valid profile upon registration. The issue is intermittent but if I change all the setting I want in those areas the combination always breaks the store site PayPal IPN function.

Hi,

Please follow exactly my advices from the first page of this post to install the source version! The .cs and VS solution files ARE in the source package, but you MUST follow my guide to install them. If you don't want follow my guide, first you will loose probably a lot of time! Second, you can extract those files from the resources.zip file but THIS IS NOT the right way to do!!! Do not complain if it do not works.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
