Hi,

The Store module version 03.00.00 FINAL is available at Codeplex!

What's New in this release?

This version is the same code base as the version 02.01.51 RC, just some cleaning and source code release before submition to the release tracker for "official" release.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Gilles, Does your post "GUIDE: How to install Store module 02.xx.xx WITH sources" still apply to this 3.0 release? I cannot find a solution file with the 3.0 downloads? Thanks for all your help, Regards, Sherif

Hi Sherif,

Yes, the guide is still valid! The version 03.00.00 is the end of the cycle of 02.XX versions. I have changed for a major version number because almost all classes have been changed from the version 02.01.36 (last "official" validated version).

Please, please, please DO NOT SEARCH in the zip source file nor try to install it by hands! Follow my guide and you will have ALL FILES correctly installed WITH the solution in minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only change in the guide is the minimum DNN version to use, now you have to install DNN 4.6.2 at the minimum. You can use a newer DNN version but in this case your version will be NOT compatible with previous DNN versions. It depends on what you want to do with your version. If it's for only one website then you can use the same DNN version than the website. It's up to you!
As specified in the guide if you don't use the same DNN version or if your DNN instance is NOT installed in the specified folder, you will have to edit the solution file by hand BEFORE opening it with VS! This is NOT my choice, but how VS solution file is built by MS.

Hi Sherif,

Great! :-) Don't forget to read the Templating Guide available at Codeplex. A lot of things can be done with the templates. Remember than if you change something in the core Store module, you wil not be able to upgrade with future versions. Normaly the source code is used to understand how it works internaly and to creates providers.
