Hello,

I want to basically be able to sell access to a security role on my site. So, there's nothing to ship and nothing to download.

Is there a way I can do that? I feel like virtual products should be able to do that, but there wouldn't be a download.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,

Of course you can! :-)

First, you don't have to enable virtual products because it's not a virtual product but a role! Please read this post, you will found how to prepare your roles before link them to a product.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Thanks Gilles - this is helpful.

Still, when I do that, I still get prompted for a shipping address. Is there a way to turn off the shipping address if it's unnecessary?

Thanks,

Mike

By default, a visitor is prompted for a billing address and the shipping address is defined as 'Ship the order to the billing address.'.

Could you confirm that you use the last Store module version 03.00.00?

Hello,

Yes - I'm on 3.0.0...

Everything my organization sells is online - memberships to the organization - things like that... So, we don't ship anything. Do you know if there's a way I can hide the option entirely?

Thanks,

Mike
