Were you able to resolve the problem or find a workaround? has anyone else encounter similar issue?

You should be able to resolve this issue by contacting your hosting provider and having them update the folder to allow the ASP.NET worker process to have full write permissons to the application directory.

I have the same Problems. Also with a sharing System. Provider(1und1.de).  The ASP-Worker Process is not the Network-Service on  Server2003?? They gave full Rights to IUSR_xxxx and Networkservice on the dnn-Directory. Only viewing seems ok to the site. But if i work with it, after 1-2 minutes I get the same Security-Failure like mentioned above. To check, if it's ok after restart my question: IS there a way to restart the application without calling the site? i.e. by script? Set the Site to "meory" instead of "disk" does'nt solve the problem. Any further ideas?

Best Regards

Frank

I beat it.

with the installation Instructions of this Thread:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/73293/scope/posts/Default.aspx

read it till the end. you only need the steps at the end (if you have a running portal and only gets the FileIOPermission-failure). Thanks to anyone. Only the survey and the links-modul are not running fine.

In the links-modul you can enter new links but can npt update them. Do it in the sql-table. But hte survey modul still doesn't runs.
