Just a followup, I tried out the Ventrian module and I really like it as well.

I had to hack the source a bit to get it to do what I wanted but the code was clean and easy to work with.

Glad to hear you have had success with the Ventrian module.

In case you, or anyone else for that matter, are looking for another solution or are not having your requirements met by your current solution -- I would like you to know that there is another option as well. Engage Software provides a very powerful article management module called Engage: Publish available on Snowcovered.

Me too, and Ventrian approach pretty well most user requirement.

Not the same price... Quite expensive. But could be an alternative, even if I do not see exactly the way you can do what is requested here. It is far away from News Article of Ventrian to my opinion.
