After I get the hang of it, I do believe IIs will be easy. I get around in windows pretty well. But, There are a few things I get confused with in IIs 6.0.

1. The host header thing (is this just the www.mydomain.com?)
2. What's up with the website and virtual directory

If you know a really good , visual article that explains the whole IIs website setup, please let me know?

The instruction is in the Documentation you can download it from http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/125/default.aspx .  But if you install it on a Hosting with Hosting Software like Plesk or other, then you have do do any permission settings. With cleen IIS or Plesk I can help you.

Please give me mor information about what's happend.

Regards

Matthias

I presently have plesk 8.1 installed. I have been back and forth with my hosting company about the ability to install DNN 4.4.1 using plesk. They contacted plesk and plesk said DNN 4.4.1 will not work. Is this true?

Ummm - its not really about what hosting control panel you have installed.

But about the Hosting platform - that is the operating system it runs on

If you are hosted on a WINDOWS server with ASP.NET 1.1 or 2.0 and MSSQL 2000 or 2005 then there is really no reason why DNN should not be able to work.
