Ditto, I do work for a paper based/ electronic based newsletter buisness.

Ventrain was first on my list, newsletters module is spot on (great content management built in). If you want extensive content management across the board there are other solutions available as well. No doubt people will post here with the solutions.

Cheers..

Alex

Hi All,

Thank all of the community members for giving me such good comments. But my requirements are little bit different. The site which I have to deliver to my client has fix pages. He will only change the contents of page when he wants to publish a new magazine. He also wants to archive old contents, so that if you user want to see old magazine he can. The sample site link is http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/sunday/.This magazine site comes on every Sunday with updated contents. But its contents not being archived. I need the same functionality as in site I mentioned above but with page archive feature. I know content updating is no problem in DNN. I just wanted to know, how can I archive magazine page? Waiting comments from community member.

Thanks once again all of community member

NukeAlexS,

Thank for your reply.

Yes i know that i can use "text/html module" for adding or editing contents.I was just asking what would be the mechanism of archiving a page.

if you have a large number of pages, I would use a module, that can list pages (Title and Date) or present a single HTML content (magazin page) only. Another option can be Multipage from www.dotnetnuke.dk, that allows to aggregate all pages of a magazin and provide an internal navigation.

In general, be aware, that an online paper needs a different layout than a printed one, because handling of large pages is more difficult in the browser and reading long texts online does not attract many users.
